Light Dispelling Darkness

This is a fountain and statue designed in 1937 by Waylande Gregory. In the center is a globe surrounded by various images of education, industry and technology. At the end of each of several arches is a figure that depicts a human vice: greed, war, materialism, pestilence, war and death. The entire statue had fallen into serious disrepair and was being disassembled for restoration when I visited in 2003. In 2004 it was restored beautifully. The fountain is located in Roosevelt Park in Edison.

I had to get info on the Historical Society & the Light Dispelling Fountain and there listed was your site. I checked that out and enjoyed it very much. Read about most of your trips. Say what is geocaching?? Could this be that you look for the hidden places?? I checked the dictionary and it wasn’t there.
