BOOKS ABOUT NJ
I have listed nearly 100 books about NJ, a few of them abouty strange and interesting things, but they run the gamut from nnture and photography, to history and people, as well as guides on things to do. I am an Amazon Associate so your purchase helps support this site. My website and these forums are free for everyone. I don’t charge a membership fee and I don’t ask for donations. I won’t whine about the cost of webhosting, gas and tolls and the like because I do this for the love of it, not to make money. That said, there are expenses involved, and if I can offset that somehow, I will. Rather then ask people simply to donate, I choose to be an associate. If you see a book you like, great. You get a book, and I get some compensatrion to help support what I’m doing here. If not, no big deal.

Summary
The Tripod Rock site at Montville Township, New Jersey, consists of a man-made dolmen with a huge capstone, two big Marker Stones indicating Sunset at midsummer day, and a menhir (upright stone). It clearly is a site constructed by the megalith buil-ders of Europe when America was a colony of Egypt (2500-1200 BC). The monu-ment tells the story of the Egyptian discovery of America during the Fourth and Fifth Dynasties of the Old Kingdom. The site is dated to the Twelfth Dynasty, c.1900 BC.

I’ve read both of Henry Charlton Beck’s Forgotten Towns of Southern New Jersey; I actually found a few places because of them. Great books.
